Rockford Park District's summer Learn to Play Sports Camp provides children ages 5-11 of all skill levels an introduction to a variety of sports for recreation, plus the opportunity to learn important life skills such as respect, leadership, responsibility, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a safe and positive environment.

Each week, a multi-sampler of sports is introduced, with a focus on hockey and one other sport; all equipment is provided. Weekly Monday-Friday summer sessions are scheduled to run through the week of August 13, 2018 at the Jr. IceHogs Off-Ice Training Facility, 312 N. Madison St., Rockford, and meet from 8:30 am until 4:30 pm, with an extended care option available for an additional fee.

The camp fee is $110 per session ($130 non-resident).

Early registration is recommended to secure a space, as space is limited. Fee assistance may be available to eligible residents; an installment payment plan may be available. Register online, or at Customer Service locations. Information on support for participants with disabilities is also available from Customer Service at 815-987-8800.
