New Buddy Ice Skate Lessons Begin October 6, 2018
Rockford Park District’s Therapeutic Recreation team is offering a new Buddy Skate indoor recreational ice skating program for individuals ages 5-17 with disability related needs. The first session will run Saturdays, October 6-November 3, 2018, from 10:15 until 11 a.m. at Carlson Ice Arena, 4150 N. Perryville Rd., Loves Park, IL.
The program follows the Park District’s Learn to Skate curriculum, and will teach beginning to intermediate skating skills. Each skater will be assisted on the ice by a “buddy” to create a fun and successful opportunity. The session fee is $33 ($40 non-resident). Helmets are required, and are available on site if needed.
