We’re training and developing track and field athletes this summer

The registration deadline is June 4, 2018 for Rockford Park District's FIRE Track & Field summer programs, which begin in early June.

The program consists of two levels of participation: Jr. FIRE, where children ages 4-5 are introduced to the fundamentals of the sports, and FIRE for youth ages 5-18 who are ready for a higher level of involvement.

Jr FIRE holds two practice sessions per week at Guilford High School stadium, as well as three meets; FIRE participants will attend two practices per week at Guilford High School stadium, as well as three local meets and three AAU or USATF sanctioned meets. The program's purpose is to engage young people in a positive experience, and use track and field to promote recreation, education, leadership, community service, and self-esteem; highly qualified coaches provide individual and group instruction to the student athletes.

Register online, or at Park Customer Service locations: UW Health Sports Factory in Rockford, or Carlson Ice Arena or Mercyhealth Sportscore Two in Loves Park.
