Playday to Benefit Golf Outreach Youth Program

ROCKFORD, IL – It will be raining golf balls at the 12th annual Great Golf Ball Drop sponsored by Rose Pest Solutions to be held Friday, May 11, 2018, at 5:00 p.m., at Aldeen Golf Club, 1902 Reid Farm Rd., Rockford, IL. The Great Golf Ball Drop is a special event to benefit the Fore the Kids Golf Outreach youth program of the Rockford Park District, and is held in conjunction with the Fore the Kids Golf Playday benefit, also held May 11 at Aldeen Golf Club.

“We want to grow the game of golf by reaching as many of our Rockford area youth as possible. The life values and skills learned through the game of golf will last a lifetime. Benefit events like the Golf Ball Drop and Fore the Kids Golf Playday help raise awareness and funds to keep this program strong," says Mick Hockinson, Outreach Coordinator for Rockford Park District’s youth golf program.

Golf Ball Drop sponsored by Rose Pest Solutions: How It Works

Following the conclusion of the Fore the Kids Golf Playday, a group of numbered golf balls will be dropped over a designated hole at Aldeen Golf Club. The purchaser of the first golf ball that lands in (or closest to) the hole wins the grand prize. Targets for other prizes will be placed on the green surrounding the hole.
