Skill level doesn't matter when it comes to NFL Flag Football. All participants will receive an official NFL Flag Football jersey, a set of flags, trophy, NFL certificate, and field trip. NFL Flag consists of a 6-8-game season and playoffs. Practices, at least two per week, are held in various schools and parks. Coaches and parents work as a team on dates and locations.
Jr. NFL Flag Football Mini-Camp is a non-contact fundamental football camp designed to improve your child's beginning football skill level. Campers will be taught progressively, with the idea of "crawling" first, then "walking, jogging, and finally running". "Chalk Talk", a chance for guest speakers to share tips will feature area high school and NFL Flag coaches. All participants will receive a t-shirt, award, and NFL certificate.
Dreams of being the next big deal to play professional football all starts with the 2013 10th Annual Rockford Football Training Camp. This camp is designed to help create a solid football foundation for area youth at an early age. All campers will receive a t-shirt, energy snack, and autograph from our Chicago Bears guest instructors: #55 Lance Briggs and #63 Roberto Garza.
Note: Date and location subject to change. Local high school and college coaches will serve as instructors.
NFL Cheer girls only root for NFL Flag Football of Rockford! The purpose of NFL Cheer is to develop, organize, and promote cheerleading activities for our youth participants. There are no tryouts; everyone is on the sidelines cheering, but squads differ in ability levels.
NFL CHEERLEADERS WILL RECEIVE A COMPLETE UNIFORM, POMS, SHOES, BOW, AND SOCKS! Each NFL Cheer squad will be assigned a cheerleading mentor. The mentor's primary job is to teach the cheer routines as the head coach supervises. Routines will be performed during NFL Flag Football games on Saturday mornings.
NOTE: NFL Cheer Camp will be held May 6-9, 6:00-7:00pm at West Middle School Gym (1900 N Rockton Ave, Rockford). Practice will be held at this location for the remainder of May. After that, practice will resume at Brown Park for the rest of the season.
