Rockford Park District

The Rockford Park District operates two skating facilities for our ice skating and hockey enthusiasts. The rinks are open for regular public skate sessions, and figure skating and hockey lessons are offered for ages three through adult. Youth and adult hockey leagues are offered year-round at Rockford Park District rinks.

After School Ice Skating Sessions

Rockford Park District is offering a new opportunity for youth to enjoy some fun recreation after school hours this year while learning basic ice skating skills and gaining confidence on the ice at After School Ice Skate weekly sessions for boys and girls in grades Pre-K through 12. The Park District's Learn to Skate staff will provide 15 minutes of instruction at each session. Sessions are scheduled Thursdays through May 30, 2013 from 3:30 to 4:50 p.m. at Riverview Ice House, 324 N. Madison St., Rockford.

The fee for students and adult/chaperones is $3.00 per person including skate rental; family and friends are also welcome! This program is one of many low-fee activities offered by the Rockford Park District.
