Financial Assistance "Fun For All Kids"
We believe no child should be denied access to learning an important ability, such as swimming, or developing skills for a lifetime of enjoyment, due to their inability to pay. The Rockford Park District offers a fee assistance program called Fun For All Kids.
This program is for youth who meet the following requirements:
- Youth is 19 years of age or younger
- Family is a resident of the Rockford Park District
- Family is receiving IL LINK assistance, or whose gross income falls at or below Federal Poverty guidelines
- People with disabilities who meet the financial guidelines and reside within the Rockford Park District boundaries are also eligible for this program (age restriction is waived)
Fun For All Kids is available for Rockford Park District programs that are open to the general public and require fees for participation, such as summer camps, Kid Zones, lesson programs, etc.
Fun For All Kids is offered at a 75% and 50% subsidy levels, with a partial contribution from the head of household required at registration, as long as funds are available. A coupon booklet providing individual admissions to a wide variety of Park District facilities is available for purchase to qualifying participants in Fun For All Kids.
Proof of income (prior year's income tax forms and two recent paycheck stubs), proof of residency (State ID or utility bill), and birth certificate or medical card for all members of the household are required at the time of application. Families must apply and provide documentation every year to participate.
