Canine Corners Dog Parks

Requirements for use of Canine Corners Dog Parks:

  • Dogs must have a current rabies tag from Winnebago County Animal Services
  • For their health and safety, dogs should be current on all their shots, especially kennel cough, distemper, and parvorvirus, and have annual fecal exams
  • Male dogs using the parks must be neutered
  • Female dogs are not allowed inside the dog parks when they are in season

Rules: In addition to the above requirements

  • Dog park registration tags and rabies tag must be worn and visible when using the dog park
  • Dogs must be supervised at all times
  • Owners must carry a leash and a clean up bag at all times
  • Dog owners are required to immediately pick up after their dog(s)
  • Dogs showing aggression toward people or other animals must be immediately restrained by the owner and leave the park
  • Children under 10 years old are not allowed in the park
  • Eating and smoking within the park is prohibited
  • Park hours are from dawn to dusk
  • The Rockford Park District reserves the right to refuse membership or entrance
  • Dogs are welcome to accompany you in any Rockford Park District park or on recreation paths as long as they are leashed and under your control at all times, and you are responsible to clean up after your dog(s).
