The Great Golf Ball Drop

A special event on October 7, 2009, to benefit the Rockford Park District Foundation and RPD youth golf programs. A group of numbered golf balls will be dropped from a lift hovering over a pre-selected hole on the Learning Links at Ingersoll Golf Course. The first golf ball in the hole, or the one closest to the hole, wins the grand prize of $2,500. There will be closest-to-the-pin prizes, as well as a prize for the ball furthest from the pin.
