Youth Tennis Lessons
The Rockford Park District Tennis Department offers lessons for kids just starting out, and for advanced youth looking to tune up their skills and develop their individual game. Spring lessons meet Mondays and Wednesdays. Summer lessons meet Monday-Thursdays. Fridays are reserved for rainy-day make-ups. For more information, call the Guilford Tennis Center at 815-987-8807.
QuickStart Tennis will be offered this year. It's a new practice-and-play program to help kids ten and under learn the game with less frustration and faster results. To make it easier we've changed a few things - court sizes, racquet sizes, balls, scoring system, and even net height. The USTA has incorporated the QuickStart Tennis format into its flagship program, Jr. Team Tennis.
