Greetings from the President
We hope that you will consider your investment made through property taxes and fees paid for services to yield a good return on that investment.
The five-member Board of Commissioners are your elected representatives to oversee and govern the Rockford Park District. We serve six-year terms without compensation. It is our privilege to represent you as we govern and guide the staff in determining what services are offered for people at a cost that is within our available financial resources.
We encourage you to access this web site frequently and learn more about what is offered and how you can become involved in volunteering or supporting various community projects.
You are welcome to attend Board meetings, which are generally held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 5:00 p.m. at the Webbs Norman Center at 401 South Main Street.
We welcome your ideas, thoughts, comments, and suggestions through a variety of methods, including email at rpdmail@rockfordparkdistrict.org, program evaluations, or mail us at Board of Commissioners, 401 South Main Street, Rockford, IL 61101.
Sincerely,
Jack L. Armstrong, President
